RTO transfer is separate
Creating a sale agreement or handover record with DealerDocs does not complete the transfer of ownership at the RTO. Official ownership transfer (including Form 29/30 filing, NOC where applicable, and updating the Certificate of Registration) is a separate government process that the buyer and seller must complete through the relevant RTO or the official Parivahan portal.
State variations
Vehicle documentation and transfer requirements vary by state and RTO and can change over time. Always confirm the current, applicable process with the relevant authority before relying on any document or checklist.
